'Do good' Global tour by worldwide best-selling author and cartoonist Mr. Dav Pilkey made an appearance at the Royal Opera house on 20th Nov, 2019.
The learners of grades 4-9 from HFS International were privileged to meet the Caldecott Honor Award winning author.
Junior readers were greeted with a cape written 'Reading gives you superpower.' They were overwhelmed to see the mascot -Dog man
He inspired the young readers by sharing some anecdotes from his life, the struggles of being an ADHD and Dyslexic child. These life scenarios were an inspiration for his characters, plots, themes of these stories.
He connected with the audience by sharing tips of dealing with any situation. He kindled the learners to think "How to turn the difficult situations to something good?"
The learners were encouraged to follow the power of 3P’s -
POSITIVITY, PRACTICE and PERSISTENCE.
Learners were excited to see the characters come to life with Dav's life-size sketches. Their dreams came true when, he gifted his signature sketches to them. Before the curtains were drawn, he unveiled his new series of dog man- Fetch 22 book which thrilled the audience. The learners also got a chance to get photographs clicked with the mascot Dog man and the author.
At the outset, it was a fun-filled day with tiny bubbles of amusement and bundles of joy in a little one’s heart.
